Why Doug deSilva pleaded guilty to the attempted murder of Brenda "Kaye" Robinson?

I've noticed about the rape and attempted murder of Brenda "Kaye" Robinson, which Doug deSilva pleaded guilty of these crimes, but a DNA test and a fingerprint convicted mark eskridge.

When investigators were working into this case asked why Doug deSilva pleaded guilty if he did not these crimes.

I've been thinking about this question and to my mind I think Doug and mark knew each other, mark told Doug that he would rape and kill her and asked him to confess the crime in order to milsead investigators, knowing that investigators would find that Doug is not guilty and they would investigate in another way.

Probably Doug and mark knew each other, due to both and the victim used to live close together. Doug and mark are physically similar, so when mark was planning to rape Kaye, had the idea to tell Doug that they were physically similar and ask him to confess and to draw a smiley face in the interrogation in order to give some evidence, due to mark draw a smiley face with her blood on the crime scene, next, Kate would testify against Doug in a photographic reconnaissance, but Doug would be left free because of lack of evidence. Finally, investigators would think that Kaye was confused and the criminal was another one.

That's my opinion why Doug deSilva pleaded guilty, if ye think ye have something to say don't hesitate to post a comment.

  1. Beaten by the police for 8 hours, then someone says, " hey sign this you can walk out and go home" oh, ok. Then at your trial after you've been charged with murder and locked in isolation for two years. "For safety" and then the only human the accused talks to in two years is a legal aid lawyer who would say over and over, "plead guilty, it's the only way you'll ever be free again" every week, until they believe it. Someone tells them they'll get time served if they plead.

    1. Only millionaires can pay bail on a murder charge. Everyone else sits in a cell completely removed from everything they've ever known, which is perfectly fine for a murderer, but stick an innocent in isolation, remove every humanizing aspect of their life and they will crack. It's a matter of time.

  2. I just watched the show. Doug deSilva never pleaded guilty, so your whole post is wrong. Cops arrested him because the victim identified him but later the DNA test showed Dough was innocent. Doug did not plea guilty.

    1. Thank God someone else has some sense. That lady still spent the entire episode saying it was Doug De Silva and never recanted or anything. She still sticks to thinking it was De Silva, despite what the DNA evidence says. Wtf. It's people like her that put innocent men in jail.

    2. I saw this on Forensic files and it was strange to me.After research I believe these 2 men knew each other too. It's not a coincidence that they both have a history of rape. They have to be connected for it to be so many creepy similarities

1 Both was from Maryland but happen to have family living in the trailer park in Laurel,Delaware

2.Both have a similar case of raping woman in Maryland. De silva a suspect in murder similar to Robinson case

3.De silva drew tge exact smiley dace that Eskridge drew on Robinson. A coincidence.....I think not!
      4.
The drawing on the suspect look exactly like De Silva

      5. De Silva confessed

6.is it just a coincidence that at the right time De Silva go to Robison houuse after the murder to pray knowing he would lopl suspicious and was already accuse of another murder.

7.De Silva is a suspect in
The rape and murder of a MD teen and she was rape throat was slash.

I believe they work together and the teen in MD was murdered by De Silva.

  3. I saw this on Paula Zahn. My memory is that he never denied guilt, which the cops took to mean admitting guilt, but it's not the same. When Brenda saw the real killer, years later, she said it wasn't him, but of course he looked different, he was older. But when she was shown an old photo of him, she quickly realized her mistake and agreed Doug de Silva was innocent. That's my memory.

    1. Just saw a episode about the story and you are exactly right. Where these other people get their information from I don't know. People should get their facts strait before committing on something. That's how rumors get started.
